A final day of fundraising at the Sprayberry Chick-fil-A for the Stephen Moon family took place Feb. 7 in Northeast Cobb. It seemed more like a party with community members filling the restaurant throughout the day, particularly between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sprayberry Chick-fil-A owner-operator Scott Reed put on two full-days of fundraising at his restaurant to assist the Moon family in its battle to provide continuing physical rehabilitation for Victoria Moon, who experienced bleeding in the brain after falling after a physical exam Nov. 22, 2010. After two months in a coma, Stephen Moon took Victoria, his wife, to the Chicago Institute of Rehabilitation Jan. 11 because doctors in Atlanta said there wasn't much they could do to further assist Victoria. Since that time, improvement has been made in Victoria's fight for life. The couple have three young children and much to think about in the coming months. On Feb. 7, however, the mood was festive, as can be seen by the photos below, and those who purchased food at the Chick-fil-A that night saw 20% of their receipt totals go towards helping the Moons.
