"Gap" filling sidewalks proposed for Canton Road

Cobb County District 3 Commissioner Thea Powell has proposed a plan to fill in some sidewalk gaps along Canton Road that are not already included in Phase 1 of the Canton Road Improvement Plan, which covers a 1.5 mile area between Rosedale Drive to north of Blackwell Road.

"Backyard Brawl" means more than sideline to sideline for Jackets and Trojans

Classifications and first-game losses will mean nothing when Sprayberry's Yellow Jackets take on the Lassiter Trojans Sept. 3 in another episode of the Northeast Cobb tradition "The Backyard Yard Brawl" in Sprayberry's Jim Fraizer Stadium.

It's all about community pride, mixed with a little "bragging rights."
